For the first year of the Pittsburgh Galleries Project, Avonworth worked with the Toonseum of Pittsburgh.  For the exhibit (2014), students celebrated the 75th anniversary of the first appearance of Batman by curating an exhibit from pieces on loan from the Toonseum and private collectors, as well as using facilimes and creating informative placards about the comic art of Batman over the decades.
