Avonworth School District, in conjunction with Pittsburgh Center for Arts & Media, will deliver a two-and-half day, peer learning experience that combines Project-Based Learning (PBL), Design Thinking and Arts Integration--July 7-9, 2020, at Avonworth High School. The theme of this year's workshop is All Together Now: Collaboration for Success with PBL. Participants will gain insight into the power of collaboration and how to leverage collaboration to create successful project-based learning experiences for students. Participants will also learn new tools in design thinking and the arts to workshop ideas for developing authentic PBL units. Studio A will equip teachers across the region to scale innovative practices that do not require a large budget to implement. Teachers will build skills and knowledge to develop interdisciplinary, project-based lessons/units to engage students in meaningful learning and in applying 21st-century skills.
